Boddington Old School's History
On 21st September 1920, Boddington Old School was opened as a one roomed school. Approximately thirty students and their teacher, Mr Sharp, transferred books and desks from the Hotham River School, which had closed the day before. The Boddington School continued to grow due to increasing local industries, particularly the Tannin Extracts (1937 - 1964) as well as the Bauxite & Gold Mining operations from the 1980'S, farming and forestry. On 7th March 2000, the Boddington Old School was closed as a school and the new school was opened in Pollard Street. In May 2003 the Boddington Old School became today's resourceful Telecentre and Community Centre
