Peel Passports

20 Sep 2009

The Peel Development Commission welcomes the new Forrest Highway as a ‘gateway to the Peel Region’.

“The Peel is a genuinely beautiful destination with a diverse range of natural attractions and food and wine with much to appeal to visitors and locals”, said acting Chief Executive Colleen Yates.

“Our vision is for Peel to be recognised as a uniquely beautiful and sustainable place to live, work and visit.  We work closely with regional, State and Commonwealth partners to enhance opportunities for Peel people, the economy and the environment and the new highway brings exciting new prospects right to our doorstep”.
The Commission has worked with local businesses to produce a “Peel Passport” which invites visitors and residents alike to experience an assortment of discounted tourism and retail possibilities from 20 September 2009.

Passports are available free of charge from the WA Visitor Centre, Perth City and all seven Peel Visitor/Information Centres.  Passport holders can also enter a free competition thanks to generous donations from businesses, simply by getting their passport stamped in each of Peel’s five local government areas.  Attractive packages with a total value of $5,550 are up for grabs.

Full details of the Peel Passport and competition are available from www.peel.wa.gov.au
